NYC Museum Tour
A quick overview of some of the most popular and most notable general interest museums in New York City. The museums featured include the MOMA, the Met, Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum, the Museum of Natural History, the Air-Sea-Space Museum on the Intrepid.
Some of the best museums in New York City are art Museums. Among the more popular art museums are the Metropolitan Museum of Art (or as most New Yorkers know it, the Met) and the Museum of Modern Art or MOMA. This video clip shows a glimps of the spiral ramp inside the Guggenheim Museum. Madam Tussaud's Museum does not qualify as fine art in the minds of most art afficianados, but it is popular art.
The Museum of Natural History is also featured, as is the Air-Sea-Space Museum on board the Intrepid. The Natural Histor museum was the setting for the movie Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller. The Intrepid was shown in the movie I am Legend. Those who have seen the movie may recall the seen with him hitting golf balls from the deck of an air craft carrier. Countless other movies have been shot in Manhattan and feature glimpses of or references to these places. There are too many to list here. Hopefully this overview has been enough to spark some interest.
